1.  Coca-Cola uses conventions to their advantage, they always make commercials based on a primary groups. It makes Coca-Cola seem like a loving brand that cares for their users; the commercials are always embedded with culture, family, friends, new and old relationships to give it that effect. 2. People always need a good refreshing beverage, why not get it from a brand that cares for people. The media needs or at least wants to give new connections and thats why the product, with the brand it has built, would be shown on Tv, apps, or newspapers which were used a lot when it first came out. the point is to get everyone show them the product and then the brand. 3. Before this project I some what knew how to edit videos, for fun, but with something more professional I experimented with different filters, coloring, transitions, text, and audio alterations within the app without even knowing it existed. 4. I used an app called iMovie to edit the video, to include music and different types

My Commercial: Coca-Cola

This was my first time doing a video like this, I have made vlogs and edited them, but I have never made a video like this or posted it on YouTube. Plus most of the videos I make are funny and there are no camera angles, acting, planning, publishing or anything. I just set up my phone and vlog my friends and I doing something. I wasn't used to the way I made this video, but it was a good experience to learn.  I have looked at the video a few times and I think there was definitely room for improvements. For my first time it's not that bad; for my next project I know what I should and shouldn't do. When filming this it was very nerve racking which caused a lot of the acting to be weird; editing wasn't nothing too new for me but I did have to improvise so many things. There were a few things that just didn't add up, but me being the problem solver I am, I solved it. I also tried out some new things when I was editing, it was honestly fun, and for my next project I

Editing is almost done. On Friday I started editing and I finished, for the most part. I put all the scenes together and made an outro, but there is no sound. I have a plan for it, there will be like a happy song in the background with a bit of beach sounds. As I get closer to the ocean I will lower the music and increase the beach sounds. When we go back to sit down the song will become louder. It will give the affect of my happiness and calm vibe in the beginning going into my confusion. I think it will make the story make more sense, because the story line is a bit confusing. I showed it to a few people and they laughed which might be a good sign. But not everyone got the story, they did get the overall picture though. During the editing there were a few problems, the scenes were too short. If they weren't under 5 seconds it was just a video of us laughing or fighting. So in order to reach the time requirement I slowed most of the scenes, and made a longer outro than planned. T

We finished filming!! On October 6th we went to the beach after school to film the commercial. Before going we went to Publix and bought some Cokes. The worst part was we couldn't find a parking spot. We were looking for a good 10 min, but at last we found one. When we actually got to the beach I began to film the first and second scene, which both was just me. I took 3 takes of each scene to make sure I got one we liked. The next scene was me walking up to someone on the floor asking if they were okay. This scene and the next 2 were harder than usually, it took us more than 3 takes and half of those can't be used. In these scenes both of us were in it so one of our friends had to take it, in this case his friend took it. I didn't know him and I am a very awkward person, so mostly the acting was the problem not the angle or anything. Plus we were a bit rushed for the last two or three scenes because my partner had to go home. That wasn't the only problem we had. We bou

Our ideas for the commercial are final. We know exactly what we want to do, where, and when. We can't film today because I went out yesterday with some friends and my mom wont let me out again today. So the best option is to film tomorrow since there is no school or the weekend. Even though most people are doing it on the weekend I can't, I just don't have time. This weekend I am celebrating my best friends birthday. I planned a surprise for Saturday at night and Sunday in the morning. I also have to go to a few family dinners for her. So I just wouldn't have time to go to the beach to film what we want. That only leaves tomorrow. Which I have spoken to my partner and we have agreed on doing it tomorrow. Later on tonight after school I will speak to him to figure out what time and the exact beach we are doing it at. Most likely we will meet up there or maybe he can pick me up. He has his own car and I have friends with cars that will most likely take me. I will figure
