Production blog: Scheduling issues

So I had Thanksgiving break, where I could've started filming, which was the plan. But I didn't do anything for the music video. Disappointing, I know, but before break I finished planning; found my actors, where to film, and the story. But I had a bunch of work to do for other classes, and by the end of the week I went to Orlando for Thanksgiving. Not only that, my friends that I asked to be in my video were also busy, so everyones schedule and time was messed up. So I pushed filming to this week. A little background information, both of them are seniors and are super busy. They either have jobs or just a bunch of work to do for school and college admissions, so I kind of have to work with their time. One of them can't do Monday or Tuesday, the other one works on Friday, and I have plans for Thursday. That leaves Wednesday and the weekend for us to film. I would have to talk to both of them to select a date and time for this week because I wont have time to edit as much with midterms and other classes. Moral of the story the faster we start filming the better. On other news for the actual filming part; there are so many parts I have to run by my "actors," see what they are comfortable with. For example the opening scene is one actor coming out of someones house, due to my the very few options I have to make this music video, it will have to be at one of our houses. I would rather do it at my friends because the "set" looks better but it would have to be okay with him and his family. Another thing is the two actors I have are really good friends, totally platonic, but there has to be some type of romance for the video. They both know this, but I feel like it will later be an issue, good thing though nothing crazy happens. Mind you the whole video is based around someone being able to go out with their crush, so it only talking and meeting each other. There will only be one part with more romantic scenes when the one who has a crush is daydreaming. I hope they can be mature, they might laugh a lot but I know they will try. We will see though.
